The "Evil" of Obama
"Obama
is the more effective evil because his brand makes many think
everything will be OK. Bush was actually the worse evil, but because
everyone knew he was evil, many were able to oppose him..." -Facebook Comments

Thoughts Reposted From A Vacation In A Non-MMJ State
Some days are worse than others...
This morning, sensory overload got so bad, I thought I was going to puke. That rarely happens to me... Almost never when I have extremely high levels of THC in my system.
My fiancée can get my stress levels down quickly and efficiently to prevent lasting dysfunction, but when I'm not around her...
It's agony. Fucking *torture*. I literally cannot help but feel *everything*. The clothes on my body, the seat under me, anything that I happen to be touching... Even my teeth closed together in my mouth.
I can't *NOT* feel it. >.<

Respect and Dogma
Since some people seem to keep getting confused about this point...
Yes, I am intolerant of Dogma, because Dogma itself is intolerant of anything that isn't it.
No, that does not mean I run into Churches on Sunday and piss in the holy water while burning a Bible.
No, that does not mean I'm a flaming Atheist who thinks all Religious believers are inherently bad people. That would be Dogmatic.
Religion and Spirituality is a personal relationship with the illogical and unknown. My Religion and Spirituality are based around the idea that Faith should not be invoked to shield/hide from rationality and scientific discovery that makes people uncomfortable because it makes them critically think outside of Dogma.
You bet your ass I'm pretty goddamn intolerant of modes of thinking that impede intellectual progress, because that in turn impedes human evolution. As Bill Hicks said, "You know our evolution didn't stop with thumbs, right?"
But accusing me of being "mean" or "intolerant" toward people...
If someone wants talk about differences in opinion when it comes to theology, I am happy to engage them in philosophic, intellectual conversation and discourse without being a dick about it. That respect for differing viewpoints vanishes when the claim is made that an idea is wrong because God and the Bible. BECAUSE THAT IS DOGMATIC.
I fail to see why I should respect Dogmatic thought and those who actively try to impose it on the world. That doesn't mean I go out of my way to be actively hostile to random Christians... Unless they're being dicks to me first with their fucking Dogma.

Done with Boozers
I've never had a bad time specifically because of pot.
I've had plenty specifically because of alcohol.
This weekend has only served to reinforce why I can't fucking stand sloppy drunks. Having a few to relax is fine, but when you start arguing with me about your noise level or your "right" to party where I fucking live... When you can't seem to *help* but contradict anything I say about your level of intoxication, or believe them when someone says "Hey, you're pretty wasted", then you need to find somewhere else to go. I'm done with that.
Don't act no Stupid, won't be no Stupid.

Denial of Reality
Obamacare is a go, says the Supreme Court.
Oh no, says Rand Paul. Just because the Supreme Court says it, that doesn't make it Constitutional.
Sorry, bro. 5-4 Decision is majority. If Dubya's Presidency was legal, then this is damn well Constitutional.
Sanity is the pursuit of Reality at all costs. If the Right-Wing refuses to accept Reality, what does that make them?
